I woke up Friday night/Saturday morning with both eyes swollen and puffy. Top and bottom and bilateral. It got worse throughout the day on Saturday so I tried Benadryl and Advil. The Benadryl didn t seem to work and made my loopy. I kept taking it just the same through Saturday and Sunday, 1 every 4 to 8 hours, along with the Advil. I could not figure out what I was reacting too because I hadn t use any new products and I hadn t eaten anything new. So I changed my heating/AC filter which was really dirty, washed all my bedding (thinking my pups might have brought something in from outside), ran my air purifiers, and drank copious amounts of water. I also started icing on Sunday night and got up many times in the night and iced again. The swelling had mostly subsided by Monday morning but now there is a burning sensation around my eyes and the skin looks dry and peely (I know that isn t a word). It s kind of affected my vision because it is so tight around my eyes and the dryness is burning, not to mention it s making my skin around eyes look scaly and papery. I am using Refresh liquidgel and it seems to be making the eye itself feel a bit better but I was wondering if there is any product that I can use on the skin to relieve the peeling, dryness and burning that is safe to use around the eye. Also, is the tight, dry skin due to the after effects of the main event over the weekend with the swelling? Or could I be dried out from the Benadryl? Thanks, Paula
