Suggest Remedy For Swollen Eye Lid And Crustiness

My right ear in the helix and crest of the helix is crusty and when i pick it it is a yellowish green goo that is then dried to make the crustiness. I woke up with that Friday and then Saturday I woke up with my right eyelid swollen and some crustiness.

Hello and welcome to healthcaremagic

You seem to have impetigo which is a superficial bacterial infection characterised by oozing and crusting (classically honey colored crusts).

If I was the treating doctor I would have suggested an oral antibiotic for a week.

My choice of oral antibiotic would have been either:

Amoxycillin 500mg in combination with clavulanic acid 125 mg, thrice daily for a week

OR

Ceplhalexin 500 mg thrice daily for a week

OR

Cefadroxil 500 mg twice daily for a week.

An OTC topical antibacterial e.g 2% Mupirocin twice daily can be applied over the boil.

Hope this helps
