Hello and welcome to HCM,
Compromised kidney functions can lead to swelling around the ankle joints.
cellulitis is infection of the subcutaneous tissues.
Cellulitis is usually characterised by pain and systemic symptoms of fever and malaise.
If there is no pain associated, the likelihood of cellulitis is rare.
Urinary tract infection (UTI) is characterised by burning urination, increased frequency of urination etc.
If any urinary symptoms are experienced, then you are probably suffering from UTI.
In that case urine examination is required.
However, UTI will not lead to swelling around the ankles.
Stay in contact with your treating doctor for further work up.

Thanks and take care
