Suggest Remedy For Swollen, Irritated Labia With Split Upper Lip Of Vagina
Hi Doctor, My labia is very swollen and irritated. Its red and seems like some of the skin is splitting, last night my very upper lip was bleeding just a little bit. I am having heavy yellowish discharge, its not thick, just there is a lot. About 2 weeks ago my labia was just a little bit itchy, I decided to switch soaps and use something neutral without perfume. This past week I had sex and now my labia is worse. Is this a sexual issue or just vaginal? I have always had very sensitive skin
Based on the symptoms you are describing, it seems like you may be having vaginal candidiasis.
This is because the symptoms were happening before the sexual intercourse and the symptoms would present after the sexual intercourse and not before.
The vaginal candidiasis can be helped with the following -
Wearing loose cotton clothing, Practicing good vaginal hygiene, Avoiding using scented or strong soaps, Using an over the counter vaginal wash, drinking lots of water and cranberry juice are thought to help as well.
In case the symptoms persist though, please do see a doctor in person.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Vignan Rachabattuni
