Hello,
Swelling can be from an infected tooth or an extraction socket becoming infected and not healing well. A reaction from an injection such as a hematoma or allergic reaction to food, medication or dental product used are additional possibilities.
Try some anti-inflammatory medication. Benadryl is suggested to reduce inflammation and allergic responses. Tylenol or Motrin are useful to reduce inflammatory symptoms. Try to avoid all irritants. Look for any drainage or a bubble near a particular tooth. Warm salt water rinsing may offer some relief. Do you have pain or pressure sensitivity? These symptoms help to diagnosis a particular tooth or socket with a potential infection.
Plan a visit to your dentist. An infection will need treatment and a prescription for an antibiotic. Steroid treatment can be prescribed for a severe swelling.
thank you for your inquiry. I hope my suggestions are helpful and that you feel better soon.
