Suggest Remedy For Swollen, Throbbing Gums Due To Teeth Cavity

Hello, my husband is next to me in agony. His tooth is almost all gone and we're pretty sure its rotting down to the nerve. Its swollen, hot, throbbing and the only thing that seems to help for a slight second is the cold. Water, ice, ice cream, etc. He's taken idk how many ibuprofen 800s and is allergic to clove oil.we don't have insurance and its ten at night and he wont go to the emergency room. Is there anythin I can do at home for him??? Until we get to the dentist pleasseeee

Hi.
Welcome to Healthcare Magic..

It is clear that he has inflamed nerves due to deep decay in the tooth and he needs immediate dental treatment for pain relief as the pain medications can give only temporary relief..
You should immediately take him to a dentist and get evaluated along with clinical checkup the dentist can also advise you to get an IOPAR
[ x ray] done to rule out the exact cause of pain and condition of tooth.
If tooth can be saved root canal treatment can be done followed by antibiotics and painkillers.
If cannot be saved extraction is advisable..

As of now you can give him higher painkiller like TRAMADOL as it is efficient in relieving severe pain..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards..
