Suggest Remedy For Thinning Of Sides Of Toenails

the sides of the toenail of my big toe are starting to grow narrower. the top / middle part of the nail arches as it tapers to the end of the toe, resulting in being pushed down by the closed shoes and the side digging into the flesh what can I do about this please?

According to your complain you have paronychia.
Paronychia is one type of nail infection and most commonly affected toenail.

Antibiotics are helpful for further treatment.
If abcess are present than you have to drain it by incision.
In diabetes paronychia is commmon. so check your blood sugar level also.


Avoid more moisture environment for toenail infection. Try to dry that affected part.
Wear a soft footwear to prevent a foot injury .

Hermetic whitlow show this type of symptoms so proper history and physical examination can differentiate a paronychia and hepatic whitlow.

Consent physician for further diagnosis.
