Hello, I have had a sore throat for 2 weeks now, I had an ulcer in the back of my throat and I could hardly talk, I had to spit instead of swallow due to all the pain. The ulcer has seemed to get better, however my throat still hurts quite a bit. I was given antibiotics and completed them 2 days ago. I have had a mono test as well as HSV1 and HSV2 all of which were negative. I am pretty miserable and continue to take 800mg ibuprophen every 8 hours consistently, if I try not taking it my pain is unbearable. Should I be concerned? Are there other test I should have done?
