I have a horrible throbbing earache in my right ear, a fever of 99.9, achy neck and back, and when I tried to clean my ear out with peroxide then a q-tip my ear was so tender and the ear wax was born. I am 30 years old and I can t remember having an earache like this since I was a child. A week ago I went swimming in a lake with brackish water which (I think) can cause an ear infection. What should I do?
Hi. Thanks for your query. When you have so much earache, you should consult an ENT for a proper diagnosis as this can be Otomycosis as you had a bath in the lake or can be wax or acute suppurative otitis media. Proper diagnosis can give a proper treatment. Do not try anything at home.
