Suggest Remedy For Throbbing Pain In Thigh Muscle After Falling Down On Knees
I feel down on my knees last week and thought I might have damage my knee. I have been elevating it and icing it each night. I usually get up and stretch it out and I usually get a better range of motion. This morning I took my dog out for a walk before stretching and had a throbbing pain in my leg. I think its my thigh muscle. I am not able to put any weight on my foot and I have it elevated and placed a compression on it along with ice. Any suggestions? I just had it x-rayed yesterday and there is know damage to the bone. Im trying to get in for a MRI.

Hi Thank you for asking HCM I have gone through your query. Your problem can be most likely strain to hamstring muscles. An orthopedic examination will be helpful to identify it. If it is mild injury then conservative measures will help you. You can give- - short period of rest for the muscles. - Icing 20-30 minutes every 3-4 hours. - Elastic bandaging. - NSAIDs for pain relief. - muscle strengthening exercise after the rest period. If there is severe injury then surgical treatment is necessary. Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear. Thanks.
