Suggest Remedy For Tightness And Pain In Chest

Hi.I'm a 19 year old female, and have been experiencing chest pains for the past couple months. After a week or so of them i decided to check the internet, and convinced myself i was having a heart attack and ended up in the ER. They did an EKG which came back normal. I was still getting the pains, which felt like a burning, aching, and stabbing pain in the upper left part of my chest, so i went to a NP who told me that it was probably just chest wall pain. She told me to take Naproxen for a week. It didn't really make anything better. Now the chest pain has changed, and it feels like a tightness in the middle of my chest, along with a stabbing pain under my left breast and a stabbing/aching pain under my armpits. I also feel it into my back, and its spread down my left arm, leg and my neck into my jaw. I'm also getting pretty bad headaches on my left side. My face also feels a bit numb, and the pain feels like its around my left eye. I went back to the doctor and she did a chest x-ray and blood work which was normal, and she diagnosed me with anxiety. I think that may be the case because I'm constantly worried about the pain, its made it hard to get through the day. I live in a smallish town and worry that maybe my doctor missed something. Most recently i've gone to the Chiropractor and that hasn't really helped either.. any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
First of all no need to worry for major heart and lung related diseases because your reports are normal and you are too young (19years).
In my opinion, you are mostly having uncontrolled stress and anxiety. This causes GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease). This causes stomach acid time come up in the esophagus and cause symptoms of burning central chest pain, tightness and pressure in the chest.
So we should first treat your stress and anxiety.
So better to consult psychiatrist and get done counselling sessions. Try to identify stressor in your life and start working on it's solution. You might need anxiolytic drugs too.
Don't worry, you will be alright. Avoid stress and tension, be relax and calm.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
