Suggest Remedy For Tightness In The Jaw

I'm in my third week of parotitis. The whole time I've had a really tight jaw, and it was painful to even attempt to open it much more than about a centimeter. Now the inflammation has gone down, I don't think I've passed the stone yet, but I have a tightness in the jaw that I'm concerned about. No more pain when trying to open my mouth, just an inability to do so. Is this common, and will it start to dissipate?
