Suggest Remedy For Tinnitus While Treating An Ear Infection

Hello, I am currently dealing with an ear infection and punctured ear drum from a q tip. I have been taking drops since Saturday. I still have a unbalance of hearing in that ear. I can hear but not clear. My ear pops and sound is different ever time. I have a small ringing sound. Ear drains more after the drops. Is this normal for the healing process

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..

As per your complain ringing in ears also known as Tinnitus seems to be due to perforation of the ear drum as well as fluid accumulation and infection is also a potent cause for tinnitus..
As you have an infection in ear drainage from ear seems to be due to infectious fluid known as pus and as the ear drops might be easing the drainage there is more drainage after putting ear drops..
But as you have ear infection as well as perforated ear drum, the healing of the eardrum will not occur if the infection does not subside..
I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and he can also advise you an otoscopic examination..
H can advise you a course of antibiotics, anti-inflammatory painkillers, oral decongestants and steroids..
Antibiotic ear drops , steroid ear drops and decongestant nasal sprays can help..
You should also avoid popping he ears, exposure to loud sounds and swimming..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
