Suggest Remedy For Typhoid Lasting For Long Time
hi i m suffering from Typhoid for 24.08.2014 first i completed 12 day's course but i fill not well so i re-check the widal test and it come again positive the doctor suggest me for 7 days more course . Yesterday i re-check my widal test and it is showing again positive so please suggest me what i do??

Once you got typhoid with evidence of Typhoid gold standard test.
the antigen present in the body will show the titers for 0ne to two months after the illness came down.
if you are free from symptoms like fatigue,fever,vomiting etc then no need to worry about it.
if you feel any other symptoms troubling you kindly visit your physician to address the issue.

Widal test can show false positive results . Also it will stay positive for 4-6 weeks even after the cure .
Kindly let me know the value of Widal test result and I shall tell you whether it is a significant value or not .
Also get IgM Typhi Dot test which is a much sensitive and better test for Typhoid than Widal .
