Suggest Remedy For Vaginal Itching Post Intercourse

I had a vaginal infection few days after marriage. It was about 2 weeks back. I had medication and it is much better now. But I still have a bit of itching. Why is it still happening? It s mostly happens after my menstrual cycle. What precaution should we take while intercourse?
