Suggest Remedy For Vaginal Soreness And Itching

Hi I felt like I was getting a yeast infection so I did the one day over the counter treatment. The next day I woke up and I was not itching but seemed to be very sore. Each day it got worse and worse. I feel like I am swollen and I have been using over the counter cream. I have to use it several times a day just to make it through the the day. It is not getting better. I can not even sit down it hurts and I started itching really bad.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi there..

Thanks for writing in.

I would advise you to visit a gynaecologist who will examine you and prescribe medicines accordingly. You also need to get a blood test done to rule out diabetes, which can cause yeast infection.

Maintain good perineal hygiene.
Avoid Sexual contact.
Drink plenty of fluids.

Regards,
Dr. Divya Kuttikrishnan
