I am a 66 year old female with controlled diabetes in tablet form. My blood pressure is normal but today I have been told I have a very high iron count which is making too many red blood cells. I was told to expect it could be cancer and wasn't given any other explanation when iron count taken. I am so worried. Please can you help me in any way. They suggested I may have to have a lumbar puncture and said its not pleasant!!!!!! Thankyou Sandra
