Suggest Remedy For Walking Difficulty When Having Vitamin D Deficiency
I am vitamin d deficient.my levels were a 10. I am currently taking 10,000 iu daily. I am very ill and can barely sit up.I can barely walk but I try. Is there any exercises I should be doing or should I stay in bed and let the vitamin d supplement work on it s own.
1. You are more prone to frequent falls and fractures due to vit. D deficiency but at the same time you should not limit yourself to bed since prolonged recumbency can lead to loss of calcium from bones and prone to osteoporosis.
2. The most important source of vitamin D is sunlight (early morning and late evening)
3. In diet: take vitamin D fortified pineapple, yogurt,milk,dry mushroom,banana,cod liver oil,carrot,radish,tomato,cucumber,soybean.
PS. also take calcium rich diet since vitamin D is required for absorption of calcium.
