Suggest Remedy For Weight Gain And Pain In Legs From Taking Arnuity For COPD

my wife has COPD but the medications like Arnuity seem to cause her side effects such as leg pain she also has had weight loss but is stabilized,at 80 pounds, it looks like stage 3 or 4 COPD but the treatment seems worse than the cure if there is one, she is also on oxygen and a very strict diet for nonallergenic foods, today she is experiencing leg pain we believe from the steroids. she has a small amount of valium for anxiety, this seems like an acute treatment and not a restorative treatment, she is 64 years old and we are also concerned she is losing bone density. do you have any general advice or thoughts on other treatments, I am tired of the way this is being treated as acute care only. Thanks.

Hello,

The Arnuity contains Fluticasone Furoate, used for many of the house chronic obstructive pulmonary disease for its steroid actions over the underlying inflammation. The weight gain and leg cramps, diarrhea, lethargy are common side effects of the molecule and has to be reduced by dose tapering of the medicine once you are getting adequate and better control of COPD condition.
