Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Am 23/M... I have lots of work related pressure and got Into acute anxiety a 3 weeks back. I had trouble concentrating, afraid of sleeping, extreme fatigue and body pain. I used to wake up in the morning with jerk and frightening thoughts. Family Doctor put me on Clonotril Plus ( Clonazepam .5 mg & Escitolopram 10 mg) for a week and asked me to stop the medications gradually in a week. pills made me much better, But my problem is am not able to recover completely. whenever I get tensed or suffer from Anxiety, I get the the same frightening thoughts and have trouble sleeping and once asleep, wake up in the morning with jerky movements. I take Clonazepam 0.25 mg whenever I anticipate these symptoms and seems to work. Please advise me what can be done to have a complete recovery.
In your case, better to take clonotril plus for longer period. That would help you to control these symptoms. You can also try some relaxation exercise. That would keep anxiety level in low. In case, you need help, better to consult a psychiatrist rather than physician.
Thanks
