Suggest Remedy To Cure Itching And Dryness Of Scalp
My scalp is itching a lot and it has got white staff coming from the root hairs. It started 3 months after petogen shot. I tried every shampoo for bacteria and fungi. It did not help. Some they say scalp is dry but I try to put oil and it becomes worse. Even when I stand in direct sun it starts to itch. Please help
Oiling and application of any other greasy product can aggravate the problem.
I advice my patients with seborrhoeic dermatitis to use an anti-dandruff shampoo at least thrice daily. Anti-dandruff shampoos like ketoconazole based are also available OTC.
If you feel your dandruff is not improved by using a ketoconazole shampoo, you should visit a dermatologist who might ask you to use a different medicated shampoo (either ciclopirox olamine, piroctone, climbaozole based etc) which are available on prescription.
Some dermatologist also like to use a topical steroid lotion for initial 2 weeks for faster relief of dandruff.
Hope i helped you solve your problem
take care regards
