Dear Dr,I am Chhandita Bhattacharya from Kolkata.Last year on April 20,2009 I have given birth to my baby girl by Ceaserian section,I preferred normal delivery but Dr opted for C-section,now I am again pregnant,it is very difficult to go for another C-section.My Dr told me again I need to for C-Section as am now 4th month pregnant about to enter the 5th month & have a 9 month old baby.I need assistance and want to know is normal delivery possible now for the second baby? Please answer to my query also what steps I need to follow to ensure normal delivery of baby?
Welcome to HealthcareMagic, C section for the second child if the 1st was a C section depends upon case to case basis. Most of the cases will be delivered by a C section but some case will be also have normal delivery. So remember a normal deliver is possible after having an early C section. Whether it is possible or not in your case can be said only by an examination by an experienced gynecologist. You can take a second opinion to be sure. Hope that answers your question. Regards, Dr.Imaad.
