Suggest Remedy To Get Rid Of Reddish Pink Bump On Lips
Hi I m Julie Kovach. For the past 4 weeks or so I have had this big reddish pinkish bump above my upper lip/ under my nose. Whenever I put my lips in it looks like two pimples and then when it s regular it looks like one big one. It s been really hurting me the past two days and I would like to know how to get rid of it. Thanks!
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns...
As per your complain the red pink bump above the upper lip that is painful also seems to be Hair Follicle Infection also known as Folliculitis.. Nothing to worry you can take a course of antibiotics like Augmentin for 5 days. Take anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen or Naproxen .. You can also apply a Triple Antibiotic Ointment over the bump after cleaning with betadine solution.. Do cold compresses to reduce inflammation..
It will resolve in about a week and in case of no improvement consult a physician and get evaluated..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
