Suggest Remedy To Get The Voice Back Due To Cough And Sore Throat
I am a Aerobics Instructor and have a bad chesty cough that has started with a sore throat, I have now lost my voice which is making teaching very difficult, I use a mike when teaching, I feel low and not well but I am still managing to teach but it s not easy as I can t raise my voice
First of all, the basic of treatment is VOICE REST, meaning to speaking and taking, forget about teaching and using mike - Consult your doctor for preliminary evaluation and get started on proper antibiotic, decongestant and anti-inflammatory medicines - Steam inhalation with plain water - Further investigation needed may be tests of blood for CBC, sugar and so on - X-ray the chest - Any other investigations as would be advised - Second opinion of an ENT surgeon for laryngoscopy to see for larynx, vocal cords and see for the cause
- You may be added on oral steroids if you are not diabetic
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
