Suggest Remedy To Increase The Milk Output After Delivery

I am Krishna .i delivered a baby 10days back.full term baby weight 3.3 kg .this is my second baby,first one is 7 yrs old. On third day post delivery milk output was poor. I was started on tab raglan and shatavari.In next 2 days milk output improved and I stopped Reglan after 2 days.now since last 2 days milk output is poor and baby keeps on Sucking for 2 hrs or more and still not happy and I end up in giving formula.I am afraid that my milk output will not improve.kindly guide me.

Hello,
Though Reglan can be used for three weeks, it is always better to try natural means for milk production. Please improve your general nutrition and liquid intake. If there is no improvement, please ask your doctor if you should restart treatment. Irregular treatment should not be taken. If medication is taken regularly for at least a week, you can see better results. Leptaden is another ayurvedic preparation that can also be used to improve lactation. If there is any nipple problem, you may use a nipple shield. Hope this helps.
