Suggest Remedy To Overcome Side Effects Of Wysolone

I was diagnosed with Nephrotic Syndrome FSGS and have been on wysolone for over 2 months now. The protein levels in the urine have come down from 9.5gms/24hrs to 3.5gms/24hrs. I'm not sure if the results are what are expected but for someone who's been an active person all his life the side effects are having its toll. What could be the road to recovery. I have swelling on my face, though I haven't put on weight, I have no taste buds (except for chilly can't identify any spice). Any suggestion in this regard would be a boon.
