Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hi,

I can understand your distress at the moment due to your symptoms. It is common to have sleep difficulties whenever we are stressed and preoccupied about something.

In your case, it is prudent to understand the reason behind what is happening. Is it an one off incident or do you get stressed frequently over small matters? In case, this is an one off incident, you can try to relax yourself, start exercising daily. In case it doesn't work or in case it happens frequently to you, you should seek a psychiatric consultation and get evaluated. You might be suffering from anxiety disorder and would need regular treatment. Medications like paroxetine will be helpful.

Hope that answers your query. Best wishes.
