Suggest Remedy To Prevent Disorientation After Taking Xanax, Lorect And Soma

My mother is taking xanax, lorcet, soma, and neurontin. She is also taking lexapro when she thinks about it. She stays "zoned out", stumbles, slurred speach, and falls asleep doing things like eating, smoking, ect. She has had back surgery and is in alot of pain so I know she needs the meds, but is there a certain way she can take them to prevent her from being in "zombie mode"? She takes all med 1 pill 3 times a day. Thanks.
