Suggest Remedy To Reduce Swelling Of Glands In Neck

My 7 year old son has what appears to be a swollen gland that is visible now when he turns his neck. He had a sinus infection in October and February which resulted in his neck being very sore and swollen glands. He took antibiotics and it would help. Now his neck stopped hurting, but glands are still swollen. I didn t know if I should take him to his dr.?

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

The swollen lymph glands could be indicative of persistent infection. For this reason, I would recommend consulting with his attending pediatrician for a physical exam and some blood lab tests (complete blood count, PCR, ESR).

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
