Hallow Dear,
Please do not be so much worried. There are medicines which can terminate the pregnancy safely and effectively up to 9 weeks of gestation.
Tab. Mifepristone to be followed after 24-48 hours by Tabs. Misoprostol will terminate your pregnancy. However, these medicines are prescription medicines and should be taken by Obstetrician's prescription and advice. Usually within 24 hours after the last tablet of Misoprostol, the abortion process starts; however, delay up to few days also is noted occasionally.
After the abortion, I will advise you to get ultrasonography done for assessing completeness of abortion. It is also advisable to have a follow up visit 7 after the last tablet of Misoprostol.
These medicines cause developmental abnormalities in the baby. Hence in case of occasional failure, the decision should not be reverted to continuation of pregnancy; it should be terminated by surgical methods like MVA aspiration or so.
