Suggest Remedy To Treat Painful Fibroadenoma

I am 29 yeares old, mom of a 2year old kid. He was born pre-term. So he couldn't suck milk from breast.I had to express for his needs. Didn't continue more than 3 months after his birth due to the difficulty in expressing. Recently I have been detected with a painful lump on my left breast. After scanning, mammogram and needle biopsy, doctor confirmed it as fibroadenoma. asked me to wait for another 6 months for a follow up. But the problem with me is that it is severely painful, that also persistant.... It's more than 1cm in size. Can i get it removed?Is painful fibroadenoma common?
