Suggest Right Quantity And Best Time To Take Perindopril For BP
I have been taking Candesartan 8Mg for BP but went off them about two weeks ago because they were effecting my joints. The doctor then prescribed Perindopril Erbumine tabs (4mg) but I thought I would give my joints an extra week to come right so was about to start them tomorrow. In the meantime I have been taking my BP regularly and it has been ok but tonight it went up to 174/88 and about half an hour later is 169/93. What I would grateful to know is do you think I should take a tablet tonight before I go to bed? Or leave it until tomorrow morning?
* The blood pressure reading of 169/93 is not that worrysome and you may start the anti hypertensive morning from tomorrow morning without any hazards.
* The Perindopril is an ACE ( angiotension converting enzyme ) inhibitor giving best results in controlling BP.
Do take it regularly in the morning with breakfast.
Along with that , be in regular follow up with your doc and consume salt restricted diet also.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
