Suggest Risk With Low Platelets During Pregnancy

Hi doctor.,My wife 25 years old is pregnant in the first trimester. She is affected with severe fever from 29th July and body ache. Admitted at hospital, found her platelets are getting decreasing from 170000 to 130000 and now it is 70000. May I know the risk involved if any. Pls advice.

Hello dear thanks for trusting health care magic.
She should be tested for dengue fever and in case found negative then she needs to take steroids 10 mg daily for fifteen days and repeat the test.
Consult a good tertiary care hospital so that they have ICU facility.
