General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

There are several categories of back pain medication. The common ones include nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), opioids, muscle relaxants, and antidepressants.

What's your best option? It depends on your particular pain and how your body reacts to the medication and dosage. So it is better to consult your doctor who will prescribe a painkiller after a thorough assessment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
