Suggest Safe Remedy For Whipple's Disease

Hi, I am a 57 yr old female requiring a lumbar puncture to r/o Whipple's Disease. My concern is that all lumbar discs are herniated, with grade 1 slippage l4-l5 and had a microdiscectomy 3 yrs agoto remove a large disc fragment which caused significant nerve damage, mostly recovered now. Any danger having the LP? Thank you
