Hello.

Thank you for asking at HCM.

Common side effects of Asthalin (Salbutamol) are increased heart rate, sometimes irregular heart rate, feeling of heart beats (palpitation), tremors especially in hands, "shaky feeling" in the body, reduced blood potassium levels (leading to fatigue and muscle cramps), irritation or dryness in mouth/throat.

As she has had an heart surgery, personally I would prefer levosalbutamol over salbutamol for her.

Levosalbutamol has almost similar actions as salbutamol (Asthalin) but less heart-related side effects such as rapid/irregular heart beats.

Please discuss this matter with her treating doctor.

Hope above answer will be helpful to your daughter.

Wish her the best of the health.

Thank you & Regards.
