General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
Your blood pressure readings is on the higher side and with increased total cholesterol level, your doctor has suggested to take Strovas which contains 'atorvastatin', which is a lipid lowering drug.
Kindly repeat lipid profile test again after a month to know its effectiveness. The dosage of the drug could be adjusted accordingly during your next follow-up visit.
Common atorvastatin side effects may include: muscle pain, joint pain, diarrhoea and upset stomach.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
