Suggest Since When PID Already There For Chlamydia Patient

I need a doctor to please talk to me about Chlamydia. I was tested positive for chlamydia in april 2009. I was given 4 pills at once for treatment. although i did not find out about having it until today from 2009. i slept with the same partner again after this multiple times, and i have the same symptoms so im sure i have it again. which means ive had it for 2 years not knowing. the questions i have is how long is it before being infertile is high. and how do you know when it has moved to PID and can having it twice and for 2 years mean its already PID?

Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
If you have pain over both sides or one side of the iliac fosa of abdomen on either side of umbilicus (lower abdomen) following a chlamydial infection or pain during intercourse in the abdomen, then it is understood that you are having Pelvic inflammatory disease.
If the pelvic inflammatory disease is not taken care adequately as early as possible, then it would likely to go for tubal block and leads to infertility. Sometimes a longer course of Doxycyclin might have needed to have a complete cure. Your physician will guide you better.
