Suggest Solution For Severe Cough And Difficulty In Breathing

My son has cough for around 2 weeks, as he is on tixylix, omnacortil and ascoril[expectorant]. for last week he was coughing out wet, but from couple of days cough seems getting stuck in the track [mukus seems hazy also]and he couldnt breath with nose. this mostly happen at nights. we took an appointment today, but I would like to ask for suggestion and if current medicines are okay? thanks

Hi,
From history it seems that he might be having allergic bronchiolitis but as this is for long time, requires some investigations like,
complete blood test for EC, DC, ESR, Eosinophil count,
X-ray chest.
At present medicine you give is fine and continue till proper diagnosis is done.
After all reports and clinical examination go for treatment accordingly.
Avoid dusty, humid atmosphere.
Avoid cold drinks and junk food.
Ok and take care.
