Endocrinologist 's  Response
Hello and thank you for asking on HCM!
I really appreciate your concern regarding to your wife's health.
High TSH level may be a cause of miscarriage and it should be corrected prior to conceive.
When TSH level has reached levels under 2.5 mUI/Ml than you should plan another pregnancy and during pregnancy she should check the TSH level every month and correct the dose of levothyroxine regarding to the result.
After having start eltroxin she should check the TSH after 6 weeks to see if the dose of 100 mcg is the proper one.
Wish you and your wife good health!
Kind regards,
Dr.Mirjeta
