Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I get angry against any small things. Even in any homely discussion, when i feel the words may be chatting, I feel my angryness and gradually it increases to too furious that I can not tolerate my mom, dad, sister or anything. My mind also invites suicide mentality. But when I cool down, think about all and feel very bad. Cannot take food also.
Anger outburst can occur in any individual occasionally but if they become frequent and start to impair social and personal life then there is need for evaluation. You also have thoughts of suicide, guilt feelings apart from irritability and this could occur due to depression. I would advise you to consult a therapist for management of anger.
Anger management therapy, Behaviour Therapy, Relaxation therapies have excellent efficacy in reducing anger. If these therapies fail to result in improvement consult a psychiatrist. Depression, Bipolar disorder, Intermittent explosive disorder could occur as differential diagnosis in your case.
Medicines like mood stabilisers like Sodium Valproate, Lithium Carbonate can reduce the anger outbursts. Some times underlying depression could become a cause of frequent irritability. Treatment of depression result in improvement.
Thanks, hope this helps you. Take Care
