Suggest Tests To Confirm Lyme Disease

Was diagnosed with Lyme 4 years ago, but doc wouldn t treat me because of controversial nature of the disease, and Elisa test was negative. Symptoms are gradually dissipating. I have had a boil centre of back for a year or two. Wife squeezed it several months ago, but it has got angry again. Would it likely contain anything that might confirm that I do indeed have Lyme?

Hi!
welcome to HCM!
Lyme disease is diagnosed clinically based on symptoms, physical examination or a history of exposure to infected ticks.
Lyme disease is caused by a bacteria Borrelia burgdorferi tests are available in serology to detect antibodies against this bacteria, the sensitive ELISA test is performed first, and if it is positive or equivocal, then the more specific Western blot is run.PCR is also available. So you can get the tests done for confirmation.Take care!
