You were having jaundice from viral infection named Australia antigen that is HbsAg, mostly following acute infection. Most of the patients recover by their immunity, but few patients (approximately 5%) get converted into carrier state that can remain life long in which no active treatment is done unless viral infection is in active stage.
So, for now just get checked your HbsAg status by ELISA testing or from chemiluminescence technique. Please contact with follow-up report. Avoid alcohol if you have the habit.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Parth Goswami
