Suggest Tests To Diagnose TB
Hi Sir / Madam , Hope you are doing well .One of my friend has applied for a visa to Canada and she has received a feedback to go for a pulmonology test. Unfortunately , I do not have too many details on this .Could you please recommend a test which can diagnose TB ( active or latent ) Regards Sujit Tiwari

I would recommend a chest X-ray and sputum AFB(acid fast bacilli) test to detect tuberculosis.Does your friend has history of cough more than 3weeks? Any history of night sweats, loss of weight?If yes these symptoms are suggestive(of the conditions) of Tuberculosis.Hope this answers your query.
