Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I'm in need of help. I think my husband of 20 years may ha e cheated on me. He recently was googling "what do gentile warts look like" saying he was just curious. However, me being more curious I took a look at my own area, & noticed things different, and I see what could be warts. I'm not sure if I'm over reacting, paranoid, or just seeing natural changes from age.
** Thanks for contacting HCM with your health concern
1. If one is too concerned with her health then you must undergo a gynecological exam [ since genital herpes/warts are usually diagnosed by visual examination] for PAP test or biopsy [ screening for abnormal cells on the cervix] and even though there might not be any visible warts, results may indicate an HPV infection
2. Since the warts are often difficult to detect, thus your doctor may apply a mild acetic acid solution [vinegar] to your genitals to whiten any warts. and then view them under colposcope.
