Suggest Tests To Diagnose Throat Irritation

I was wondering if I got a fish bone stuck in my throat or a case of strep throat. My throat was feeling irritated since 3'o'clock pm today, but I also had fish for a meal. I was looking online to see if there was a difference but the symptoms were very similar. What should I do?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of throat irritation due to fishbone stuck in throat which is because of foreign body entrance which leads to accumulation of foreign bodies in that area. Do warm saline gargles on daily basis. I would suggest you to again consult your ENT specialist for proper examination. He/she may examine it with fiberoptic scan and remove it fiber optically using tip. Take diet rich in vitamin C. Take decongestant nasal sprays containing mucinex for instant relief.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best wishes,
Dr. Harry Maheshwari
