Hello,

* There are due non-specific signs of ovulation period as

- lower abdomen cramps over the ovulating side

- mild raised temperature

- malaise or body ache in some cases

- thin vaginal discharge

* Though confirmation is via ultrasound examination of the pelvis.

* Most appropriate time to take a urinary pregnancy test is average 1 week post predicted menstrual date period as it is by that time, hormone Beta HCG human chorionic gonadotropin ) starts appearing in urine.

Blood test of Beta HCG may be positive 3-4 days earlier than urine.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
