Suggest The Best Position To Sleep While On Medication Of Perforated Ear
What s the best position to sleep in ( effected ear down, up or try to sleep on my back ) while trying to recover from a perforated ear drum. My ear drum was perforated 5 days ago, my hearing is still very limited and I m still dealing with some drainage even though it has slowed quite a bit.

Sleeping on back is safer. In case of discharge, if purulent, it's better to keep it down to drain it rather accumulation of pus or infection inside. However, if dry, sleeping in affected ear can cause air pressure difference which may cause more damage.
