Suggest The Cause For Severe Muscular And Joint Pain With Swelling
My name is Samuel. I am 36 yrs. old. Over the last 6 months I have developed severe muscular pain, joint pain and swelling in my hands. I have seen a rheumatologist, a neurologist, and a gastroentologist. (Pardon my spelling) None of these doctors my found any cause for my constant muscular pain and stiffness. Please, if you have any ideas, I would be so grateful. Thank you
General & Family Physician, Dr. Prakruthi's Response
Hi if you had shared your blood reports it would have been helpful. Did you get a thyroid profile, ESR (erythrocyte sedimentation rate), CRP ( C- reactive protien) CPK, p and c ANCA, ANA, Rheumatoid factor, serum creatinine ? Do you have any rash? If any of these tests are positive it would give me a fair idea to pin point the diagnosis. Also when does the pain come? when does it increase in severity? what relieves it? Do u have any associated weakness or numbness? Do you have a family history of similar complaints? I am sorry I am of not much help but if you can post another question with all these details I will be able to help you better. Take care :)
