Suggest The Dosage Of Lithium For Depression

I have taken eskaleth 450 mg, 3x daily for several years. Due to loss of insurance I have had to change to regular release lithium which has been prescribed at 300 mg, 3x daily. At the prior dose, my blood tests routinely showed a level at the low end of the therapeutic range. It seems this new dosing is awfully low and my dr. has not been able to help me understand why it should be appropriate. Any ideas?

Hii

I admire you for positive outlook.

Do not look over therapeutic value.

If you are better and no worsening in symptoms with the dose of 300 mg 3x daily then continue to take it

900 mg of lithium is ideal for maintenance .

So no need to worry.

This dose is ideal and observe your symptoms.

Thank you.
Get well soon.
